An Andalusian Dog, and The Fall of the House of Usher. One of Roger Ebert’s great movies, Luis Buñuel co-wrote Jean Epstein’s 1928 film of the Edgar Allan Poe gothic horror tale. Buñuel then made Chien with surrealist artist Salvador Dali in 1929. Made to shock the bourgeoisie, the film ran for eight months after its premiere, and includes a Buñuel cameo.
