Stories from the Next Generation in Bechtel Park
A Guided Forest Walk
Two years ago The Registry Theatre commissioned local playwright Ciarán Myers to teach writing workshops to children and then anthologize their best original content into a full-length audio-guided forest walk.
On Saturday October 1st at 10 am the magnificent Midtown Radio Project, our producing partners, will be streaming the whole anthology of original, local, children’s stories while they join us to host a Community Listening Party as it guides us, in real time, through the Bechtel Park forest in Waterloo.
Join us for a FREE, in-person, original story-guided, community nature walk from the Bechtel Park playground. It’s been a long time coming.
You can also listen to the complete project anytime right HERE. But it’s best if you start from the playground parking lot, just past the baseball diamond, in Bechtel Park.
Accessible from Bridge Street near University Avenue in Waterloo and near the 6, 29, and 202 Bus Routes. The walk (and stories!) is one hour long.
October 1, 2022 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Participation is free!
PLEASE NOTE: THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE AT BECHTEL PARK! MEET AT THE PLAYGROUND (END OF THE PARKING LOT, JUST PAST THE BASEBALL DIAMOND)!
