Join GRO for this classic opera by Engelbert Humperdinck, based on the Grimm Brothers’ fairy tale.
Sung in a contemporary English translation by Kathleen Kelly, accompanied by Charmaine Fopoussi on piano, and featuring local singing talent from Waterloo Region as soloists and children’s chorus.
The production addresses issues that affect our community currently: poverty, food insecurity, environmental issues (litter, recycling, waste management). This production is recommended for ages 12 and up.
