Jeff Beck was one of the all-time greats in guitar history, with an incredible career spanning more than 60 years. Always inventive, always original, and always evolving, Beck’s music has inspired countless musicians the world over for decades and represents a high point in the history of guitar and rock’n’roll. On March 22nd, join the Mike Murray group and a cast of extraordinary guests for the annual celebration of this legendary guitarist. With musical selections from the iconic Live at Ronnie Scott’s concert as well as Emotion and Commotion and many other classics, this will be the ultimate tribute to one of the greatest to ever pick up the guitar.
Mike Murray is an in-demand guitarist, composer, producer, bandleader and educator based in Toronto, ON, Canada, and a rising star in the Canadian music scene. Proficient in a wide variety of styles and with a unique and virtuosic command of his instrument, Mike’s playing has been turning heads in the Toronto music scene and beyond for over ten years. Known for his fearless approach to music and willingness to take on any challenge, Mike has played in countless groups and recorded numerous albums both as a bandleader and with some of Canada’s finest artists across virtually all genres of popular music as well as contemporary and traditional Latin, Spanish, Mediterranean and South Asian styles. He also serves as the musical director for internationally renowned Sufi-rock outfit the Mekaal Hasan Band.
