Gandhi and Amrit Phull\n\n\n\nPresented by Dance @ The Registry\, in partnership with the IBPOC Artists Touring Network: From Words to Action \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor nearly four decades\, Sashar Zarif Dance Theatre has carried its work across more than forty countries\, moving with the people\, places\, and stories that shape its journey. The company engages diverse publics through research\, residencies\, collaborations\, creation\, and performance. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nConfronting the human struggle of hypocrisy\, Anto and Ranganathan combine poetry\, movement\, and the In-between to challenge the audience’s perception of self. Art & Design\, Spirituality & Religion\, Love & Romance\, within the pains of human limitation\, this performance intentionally brings both endless and limiting elements to engage with the dichotomy of contraction and expansion. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRavi K. Gandhi is a Canadian-Indian poet\, writer\, breathwork facilitator and educator\, living in Guelph Ontario. He regularly performs and speaks about the power of poetry in front of audiences. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAmrit Phull is a Kathak performer and instructor at M-DO Kathak Toronto. She is a student of Joanna De Souza\, disciple of Pandit Chitresh Das\, through the Ali Akbar College of Music tradition\, and has presented work across Canada and India. DESCRIPTION:Presented by Rhapsody Dance Project and Wilfrid Laurier Faculty of Music Composition Students\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIntersections: where sound learns to move\, when rhythm breathes\, the shape of sound.  \n\n\n\nIntersections is a new collaborative showcase bringing together movement and music in an exciting exploration of creative exchange.  \n\n\n\nThe performance highlights original student compositions created by students from Wilfrid Laurier University’s Composition program\, ending with a unique piece composed for dance from Laurier’s Music: Collaboration\, Curation\, and Creative Performance stream.
