SUMMARY:LESSONS IN TEMPERAMENT
DESCRIPTION:Theatre @ The Registry\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIt’s Impossible to Perfectly Tune a Piano\n\n\n\n\n\n“A memoir of minds gone out of tune.” – New York Times \n\n\n\nThe story of 4 brothers told through a theatrical escape into the art and science of piano tuning. James Smith and his brothers have had life-long journeys with OCD\, autism\, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. \n\n\n\nThrough his piano tuning James discovered the perfect metaphor to process the mental complexities of his family. James shares their personal story – while tuning the Registry Theatre grand piano beautifully\, and imperfectly. \n\n\n\nCreated and Performed by James SmithDirected and Developed by Mitchell CushmanDesigned by Nick Blais \n\n\n\nAn Outside the March Production \n\n\n\nPlease Note: The event was originally scheduled to start at 7:30 pm (and is still listed as such in our season brochure) but was subsequently pushed back to an 8 pm start time. We apologize for any confusion. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nTickets: $30 General Admission$25 Student/Senior \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented with funding support from:

SUMMARY:The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition
DESCRIPTION:Presented by actOUT! KW Children’s Drama Workshop\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe’re off to see the Wizard… L. Frank Baum’s beloved story of a young girl’s adventure in a magical land has been entertaining audiences for over a century. MGM’s blockbuster 1939 film adaptation\, featuring the timeless songs of Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg\, along with the brilliant instrumental music of Herbert Stothart\, elevated the popular novel to even greater heights. This stage adaptation\, featuring the characters and celebrated songs from the film\, brings the wondrous Land of Oz to life in a jubilant theatrical experience. Join Dorothy and her loyal companion Toto as they “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” through the Land of Oz\, determined to reach the Emerald City\, where the great and powerful Wizard of Oz will help them get home. Of course\, along the way\, Dorothy encounters witches (both good and bad)\, Munchkins\, talking trees and winged monkeys. But most importantly\, she befriends three unique characters: a Scarecrow with no brain\, a Tin Man with no heart\, and a Lion with no “nerve.” Their journey to happiness – and self-awareness – is a glowing testament to friendship\, understanding and hope in a world filled with both beauty and ugliness. \n\n\n\nClick here for more info! \n\n\n\n\n\nPlease note: School matinees are available upon request. SUMMARY:PUFFS: Or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Playful Fox Productions\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlayful Fox Productions is heading to a certain school of magic and magic this November as we present to you: PUFFS \n\n\n\nFor seven years a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. This\, however\, is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs… who just happened to be there too. A tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world. \n\n\n\nThe New York Times proclaims Puffs “A fast-paced romp through the ‘Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic.’ For Potterphiliacs who grew up alongside Potter and are eager to revisit that world\, Puffs exudes a jovial\, winking fondness for all things Harry!” \n\n\n\nThis clever and inventive play “never goes more than a minute without a laugh” (Nerdist) giving you a new look at a familiar adventure from the perspective of three potential heroes just trying to make it through a magic school that proves to be very dangerous for children. Alongside them are the Puffs\, a group of well-meaning\, loyal outsiders with a thing for badgers “who are so lovable and relatable\, you’ll leave the theater wishing they were in the stories all along” (Hollywood Life). Their “hilariously heartfelt!” (Metro) and epic journey takes the classic story to new places and reimagines what a boy wizard hero can be. \n\n\n\n*** Matinee performances are “kid – friendly” – we strongly suggest taking your young witches and wizards to those times*** \n\n\n\nFor those older witches and wizards (teens and adults) evening performances will include some foul language and minor sexual innuendo/adult themes. If you’re in the mood for some adult humour\, we suggest coming to our evening performances! \n\n\n\nPuffs is proudly sponsored by: Jackie McDonald Home Sales Please note: Puffs is licensed through special arrangement by Samuel French Inc & Concord Theatricals. \n\n\n\nPuffs is not authorized\, sanctioned\, licensed or endorsed by J.K Rowling\, Warner Bros. or any person or company associated with the Harry Potter books\, films or play. \n\n\n\nConcessions will be available at the door (cash only please) Costumes and wands encouraged! \n\n\n\nEstimated Run Time: 2.5 hours (includes 15-minute intermission) \n\n\n\n\n\nTickets: \n\n\n\nGeneral Admission – $30 (plus taxes and fees) Student/Senior – $25 (plus taxes and fees) Child 12 and under – $20 (plus taxes and fees) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease follow us on Facebook and Instagram : @playfulfoxproductions
